The assembly (1) has a bumper skin (2) including opening (6) for receiving an optical element i.e. fog lamp. A lower skirt (4) is fixed at the bumper skin so as to extend in continuity of the skin. The lower skirt includes a support frame (10) for the optical element, where the support frame and the skirt are formed from a same material. The support frame extends from an edge of the lower skirt so as to be placed around the opening of the bumper skin. A fixing unit (22) of the support frame is installed at a rear face of the bumper skin to fix the support frame around the opening.
