The arc welding torch comprises a body (1) with an elongated tungsten electrode (5) having a free end projecting out of the torch body, a device (7) for supply of fused welding wire (6) at the free end of the electrode, and guiding devices (4) connected to the torch body and laterally positioned on the electrodes. The axis of the electrode and the central plane of the wire supply device are present in a common plane. The guiding devices are arranged laterally relative to the common plane. The electrode and the wire supply device are arranged one over the other. The arc welding torch comprises a body (1) with an elongated tungsten electrode (5) having a free end projecting out of the torch body, a device (7) for supply of fused welding wire (6) at the free end of the electrode, and guiding devices (4) connected to the torch body and laterally positioned on the electrodes. The axis of the electrode and the central plane of the wire supply device are present in a common plane. The guiding devices are arranged laterally relative to the common plane. The electrode and the wire supply device are arranged one over the other so that the fuse wire is brought at the free end of the electrode. The angle formed between the axis of the electrode and the axis of the fuse wire is 10-30[deg] . Each guide device includes a sliding block, and a contact surface facing outward and contacting with the welding joint when the electrode and the guiding device are inserted between the welding joint to form a seal. A first and a second unit are arranged for receiving guide wire symmetrically arranged about the axis of the electrode and to alternately receive a portion of the inlet device of the fuse wire. The first and second units comprise passages supplied in the torch body. An independent claim is included for a process for arc welding of a first edge of a metal piece with a second edge of the metal piece.
