The variator has elementary direct-current converter arms integrated on a multilayered and monolayer printed circuit. A control processor is placed on a separated electronic card, and is placed above or below a main electronic card. A control section and a power section of the variator are separated into electrically insulated zones. The power section includes a voltage clipping circuit (d17) that is mounted in connection with an input of an energy source (d29).
