The monoliths (1) have parallel channels whose walls are made of a porous ceramic material and whose entering section is higher or equal to an outgoing section, where the monoliths are made of a porous ceramic material such as silicon carbide, cordierite, titanate of aluminum, silicon nitrides or mullite. The monoliths have a length ranging between 6 and 50 cm, and positioned on a catalytic bed (3) of a multitubular reactor (2), where the monoliths are inserted partially in tubes of the reactor.
