The device (32) has a row of modules (14-1-14-3) comprising cages (16-1, 16-2) with sidewalls (22), where each of the cages receives palmipedes. A piston type high pressure pump delivers liquid fluid under a pressure ranging between 80 and 120 bars. A mist spraying manifold (36) is equipped with mist spraying nozzles (38) i.e. swirl type mist spraying nozzles, to spread droplets of the fluid of diameter of about 10 to 50 micrometers and placed in upper part of each module. Each nozzle has a drops stop and a filtration that are directed towards top. An independent claim is also included for a cramming installation including a misting device.
