Polymorph of 6-oxo-6,7,8,9,10,11-hexahydrocyclohepta[c]chromen-3-yl sulfamate (I) having a X-ray powder diffraction as given in the specification, crystalline dimethyl sulfoxide solvate of (I) and crystalline 1, 4-dioxane hemisolvate of (I), are new. An independent claim is included for the preparation of the compounds. ACTIVITY : Cytostatic. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Steroid sulfatase inhibitor.
