The device has analysis units for analyzing an image of a zone in which an automobile is found, to determine a free space for parking using a global positioning system, and display units for displaying the determination result. The free space is determined by activating the global positioning system, programming characteristics e.g. length, width and model, of the vehicle, requesting for search of the place over a perimeter equal to 200 m, and permitting the global positioning system to indicate whether the place is free using a voice mailbox.
