The device (D) has a head (100) introduced in a space (E) between covering elements such as tiles (C). The head assures the removal of excessive adhesive product (P) and the smoothing of the product present in a bottom of the space, during translational movement in the space. The width of the head corresponds to a desired gap between the tiles. The head is fixed to an end of a handle (200) for manipulating the cleaning device. The head is associated to a rolling/sliding unit for displacing the device on the tiles.
