The saxophone has circular openings mounted on top portions of shafts, respectively, where weight of the saxophone is less than 1.9 kg. The circular openings are closed by respective plates of a B-flat bass and a B-bass, where the plates are actuated by keys of the B-flat bass and the B-bass, respectively. The openings, the shafts and the plates of the B-flat bass and the B-bass are replaced by rectangular compensation openings (41). The compensation openings are arranged at the rear of a bell (102).
