The barbecue has a bracket i.e. bar (3), on which a cage grid (12) using a hook (11) or a pin is suspended. An infra-red heating source is constituted of quartz halogen tubes (7) for lighting at high temperature. A low voltage device i.e. low voltage lamp (14), is positioned on supports (13). The halogen tubes are provided with metal deflectors (8). A removable screen (10) is made of vitro-ceramic or netting glasses and arranged in front of the lamp. A metal sheet is folded into U-shape and fixed to a slide tube (2).
