The device comprises a support unit on which the screen is intended to be placed, a unit for cutting screen for dismantling the screen while preserving the integrity of display matrix, a system for positioning the screen and cutting unit, a determination unit, a control unit for tracking the automatic positioning of the screen and/or manual intervention on the positioning, a system for holding the screen on the support, and a unit for automatically lifting the screen after its cutting. The screen is defined externally by a peripheral border, and comprises a display matrix. The device comprises a support unit on which the screen is intended to be placed, a unit for cutting screen for dismantling the screen while preserving the integrity of display matrix, a system for positioning the screen and cutting unit, a determination unit, a control unit for tracking the automatic positioning of the screen and/or manual intervention on the positioning, a system for holding the screen on the support, and a unit for automatically lifting the screen after its cutting. The screen is defined externally by a peripheral border, comprises a display matrix positioned within the screen at distance from the border, and has a space between the border and the matrix. The positioning system comprises a unit for determining a dimension of the screen and a moving unit for the screen and/or cutting unit, and has a rule Y along which the moving unit is intended to automatically move the screen and/or cutting unit so that the space is located opposite to the cutting unit. The positioning system is designed for automatically placing the screen and/or cutting unit so that the space is located in front of the cutting unit. The determination unit comprises a unit for detecting the position of the screen, and a unit for measuring dimension of the space. The detecting unit is mounted to be positioned in the cutting device to define geometric data representation of screen and space, and comprises a camera mounted under or on the screen to define an image of the screen (2) and space. The measuring unit is integrated into an information system to which representation of geometric data and/or screen image are transmitted, where the information system is installed in the cutting device for automatically determining the position related to the screen and the cutting unit. The detection unit comprises a sensor, which is movable or fixed with the screen for emitting ultrasonic waves towards the screen to determine the dimensions of the screen and the space. The cutting unit has a rule X along which the cutting unit is intended to move for cutting the screen, and comprises a circular saw of which a size is adjusted to a thickness of the screen. The support unit comprises a cross plot on which the screen to be cut is positioned. The holding system comprises a ballasted arm mounted on the device for pressing the screen against the support. The lifting unit is mounted on the device for facilitating the handling of the screen. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for cutting a flat display screen of computer or television for its dismantling; (2) a computer program; and (3) a support.
