The baffle has acoustic resonators i.e. Helmholtz resonators, regularly distributed on a surface of a support shell (10), where each resonator is formed by a straight plate (20) extending from the shell and folded to form a cavity of each resonator. The cavity is incompletely closed to form a slit of small width (e), where the slit serving as a collar of each resonator is zigzag in shape. The plate consists of a section (20a) extending from the shell and another section (20b). A space of small width separates a free end of the plate from an adjacent plate, where the baffle is made of plastic. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an acoustic baffle.
