The method involves storing data representative of utilization of a pointer, where the pointer permits a user to interact with a man-machine interface of a terminal. The data is analyzed and sent to a third party entity (AS) i.e. advertising server, for detecting the change of the user of the terminal. The data is selected from pointer displacement speed, pointer acceleration and a path of the pointer. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a terminal comprising a data storing unit (2) a computer program comprising instructions for implementing a control method (3) a computer readable storage medium for storing the computer program to implement the control method.
