The regulator (1) has an electric motor (3) driving a mechanism cooperating with a window glass (4) for displacing the window glass between an open position and a closed position. The mechanism includes an endless screw (5) mounted in rotation on a support (6) that is fixed at a fixed part (2) of a door. A nut (7) is screwed on the screw, and carries a finger (8) for engaging with the window glass. A slot is positioned in a rectilinear part (10) of the support. The screw and the nut are made up of plastic material.
