The device has a connection unit connected to a postal ink reserve, and comprising a hollow pin (40) via which postal ink is discharged from the reserve. Another connection unit comprises a capsule shaped sealing membrane hermetically closing a tubular lid (54) of an ink cartridge. The former connection unit of a self-sealing connector has a valve (60) having a seat with external periphery forming a base of the membrane. The valve is moved against an elastic return element (58) resting on bottom part of the lid under the thrust of the pin by crossing of the membrane. An independent claim is also included for a postage machine comprising postal print impression units.
