PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To help shoppers in a shopping mall, transportation terminal, resort, shopping district, etc. to obtain articles and services.SOLUTION: A promotional offer may be generated by accepting information concerning at least one of an item or establishment which is the subject of a search result from a client device, determining a promotional offer to be served using at least the information, and determining terms of the promotional offer using at least one of (A) a location of the client device, (B) a distance from the client device to an establishment associated with the promotional offer (C) a distance from the client device to an establishment competing with the establishment, (D) an inventory of goods associated with the promotional offer, (E) a capacity to provide the services associated with the promotional offer, (F) a level of excess capacity to provide the services, (G) perishability of goods associated with the promotional offer, and (H) a remaining shelf-life of goods associated with the promotional offer.
