PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation method for an activated catalyst for FT synthesis reaction in a fuel oil production facility by FT synthesis reaction by a simplified step dispensing with a special equipment, and without applying stabilization treatment by coating processing.SOLUTION: The preparation method for an activated catalyst for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction includes a step of carrying out reduction treatment of a catalyst for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction having an active metal supported on an inorganic carrier by means of a gas containing hydrogen gas. The reduction treatment is performed in any of a reactor (a desulfurizing device 10) that performs the hydrodesulfurization of a hydrocarbon starting material for producing a synthesis gas that is the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction starting material, a reactor 30 that performs Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction, and reactors 50, 52, 54 that performs the hydrotreatment of a synthetic oil synthesized by means of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction.
