PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate determining the distance from the center position of a point on a map in the form of bird's-eye view.;SOLUTION: On the map 40 in the form of bird's-eye view displayed on a display 18, a distance indication circle composed of a plurality of concentric elliptic lines 42, 43, 44 connecting points equally distant from the center position 41 is drawn and, near the distance indication circle composed of the concentric elliptic lines 42, 43, 44, distance numerical indications 200 m, 400 m, 800 m having numeric values increasing in geometric progression as being away from the center position indication 41 in correspondence with the display intervals of the points on the map 40 becoming smaller in accordance with the scale of the map 40 are displayed. Thus, by referring to the distance numerical indications 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, the distance hard to determine from the map 40 in the form of bird's-eye view can be determined intuitively, quickly, and easily.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
