PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately identify as well, by an analyzer, a state of the case where other tissue of brightness higher than that of an arterial wall is mixed, in an ultrasonic image data, to properly trace an artery inside diameter, to reduce a complicated reanalysis burden on an analyst, to accurately diagnose an artery characteristic of a subject in an early stage, and to allow early therapy.;SOLUTION: The arterial wall is specified based on an ultrasonic image, the artery characteristic is measured based on a fluctuation amount of the artery inside diameter, a reference value of the fluctuation amount of the artery inside diameter is computed therein based on a record data of the ultrasonic image in a time zone where a change of the artery inside diameter of the subject is stable, the reference value is compared with a fluctuation amount of the artery inside diameter based on all the record data of the ultrasonic image of the subject, and a noise generation time point when the fluctuation amount of the artery inside diameter exceeds the reference value is specified out of the all the record data. The arterial wall is specified in another portion by comparing the fluctuation amount of the artery inside diameter in the noise generation time point with the reference value, to specify the arterial wall in another portion, and the specification work for the arterial wall is repeated to bring the fluctuation amount of the artery inside diameter specified therein, into a range within the reference value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
