PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neuraminic acid derivative which selectively inhibits the sialidase activity of viruses and hardly inhibits human sialidase activity, to provide a sialidase activity inhibitor, and to provide an anti-influenza medicine. PSOLUTION: The neuraminic acid derivative comprises a compound represented by chemical formula (1) (RSB1/SBand RSB2/SBare each H, a 1 to 8C optionally branched alkyl, or a 1 to 8C optionally branched cycloalkyl; RSB3/SBis H or F), or pharmaceutically acceptable salt, hydrate, solvate or prodrug thereof.
