PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock ring for a pipe joint and a pipe joint which are capable of inhibiting a claw portion from biting into a pipe body more than a given depth and being easily produced, and a method for producing the lock ring for a pipe joint. PSOLUTION: A lock ring 30 is provided with an annular ring 31. Projections 33 projecting in the diametrically inward direction of the ring 31 are constructed between adjacent cutouts 32 of the ring 31. Claw portion 36 is formed at the leading edge of the projection 33. The leading edge side 36A of the claw portion 36 is formed in a linear shape when viewed from an axis direction S.
