PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the life of lithium-ion depends on other factors than charge and discharge rates, and even though incremental improvements may be achieved with careful use of the battery, the battery cell environment and the services required are not always conducive to achieve optimal battery life and there is a need to improve cycle lifetimes for an automotive lithium-ion battery pack, particularly for adapting to a decrease in battery pack cell capacity corresponding to aged deterioration. PSOLUTION: A management system for a battery cell pack includes a control device for determining an adjustable charge profile for the battery cell pack, and the adjustable charge profile includes an operational parameter for identifying a next mileage mode from a set of mileage modes for the battery cell pack.
