PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control structure of a building, a joint member, and a construction method of the vibration control structure which can effectively transfer vibration energy to a viscoelastic body arranged in a joint part of a wall panel and which can increase vibration control effect when an earthquake occurs.SOLUTION: The vibration control structure 20A of the building A has a carved part 21 formed in the joint part 2 of a plurality of wall panels 1 constituting the building A, and the joint member 7A is provided along the joint part 2. The joint member 7A is provided with a pair of retaining members 4 which correspond with each of the adjacent wall panels 1, and a plate-shaped viscoelastic body covering piece 4a is formed on the retaining members 4. The pair of viscoelastic body covering pieces 4a are extended along the joint part 2 in the carved part 21, and are arranged in an opposed state so that they can sandwitch the viscoelastic body 3. The pair of viscoelastic body covering pieces 4a are integrated with each other by the viscoelastic body 3. An adhesive 6 is filled into the carved part 21, and the retaining member 4 is fixed on the wall panel 1.
