PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional object search system and a three-dimensional object search method that accurately obtain a desired three-dimensional object by efficiently searching through many three-dimensional objects published on the Web by a generally used keyword search.;SOLUTION: The three-dimensional object search system includes a keyword obtaining means for obtaining a keyword for a three-dimensional object search, a three-dimensional object search means for searching for three-dimensional objects related to the keyword obtained by the keyword obtaining means and obtaining three-dimensional objects found, a shape feature quantity extraction means for extracting a shape feature quantity of the three-dimensional objects obtained by the three-dimensional object search means, a similarity calculation means for calculating a similarity between shape feature quantities obtained by the shape feature quantity extraction means, and a ranking generation means for ranking the three-dimensional objects obtained by the three-dimensional object search means according to the similarity calculated by the similarity calculation means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
