PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cylinder block made from an aluminum alloy, which satisfies low frictional properties while satisfying adequate adhesiveness to a substrate and low aggressiveness to a sliding counterpart, and to provide the cylinder block made from the aluminum alloy.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the cylinder block made from the aluminum alloy which has the plated film formed on a surface of the cylinder bore by using a plating solution containing SiC having an average particle diameter of 4.5-5.5 μm includes: a first stage of a film-forming step of conducting an electroplating operation under such a condition that the flow rate of the plating solution in the vicinity of the surface of the cylinder bore is 120 cm/s or more and current density is 10 A/dm2 or less; and a second stage of the film-forming step of conducting the electroplating operation under such a condition that the flow rate of the plating solution is 80-120 cm/s and the current density is 10 A/dm2 or more, after the first stage of the film forming step.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
