PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas circuit breaker equipped with an input resistance contact in which width of the contact part is reduced to miniaturize the container size, and occurrence of abnormal vibration and large impact force in input and breaking operation is prevented so that the reliability of the operation is raised.;SOLUTION: A first movable electrode 2 having a first arc electrode 2a and a first main electrode 2b in a concentric state, a second movable electrode 3 having a second arc electrode 3a and a second main electrode 3b in a concentric state, the application resistance body 12 to support slidably an end part of the second arc electrode 3a, and an application resistance contact 11 having a stationary application resistance contact 11a fixed with the conductive support member 8 in the circumference of the second arc electrode 3a, and a movable application resistance contact 11b supported by the second arc electrode 3a are equipped. In input, the movable input resistance contact 11b contacts the stationary input contact 11a after the two arc electrodes 2a, 3a are contacted, and in breaking, the input resistance contact 11 is separated after the two arc electrodes 2a, 3a are separated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
