PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying device for producing dry abalones in a short period of time by taking sufficient sunlight and outside air into a case body, arranging abalones in the case body, and drying them in an auxiliary manner by a heater. PSOLUTION: The solar drying type drying device 1 with one or more mesh plates 10 installed in a vertically circulating manner in the case body 101 having at least an upper bottom formed of a transparent cover, and right-left and front-rear walls and a lower bottom, includes main rotating shafts provided at the center upper and lower parts of the case body 101; a plurality of side rotating shafts provided in lateral symmetry with respect to an axis perpendicularly connecting the middle points of the upper and lower main rotating shafts; a front side chain engaged between front side gears of the main rotating shafts and side rotating shafts; a rear side chain engaged between rear side gears of the main rotating shafts and side rotating shafts; hanging bars horizontally fixed at equal spaces between the front side chain and the rear side chain; and a driver for rotating at least one of the upper and lower main rotating shafts.
