CONDITION MONITORING SYSTEM FOR RAILWAY OVERHEAD LINE INSTALLATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condition monitoring system for a railway overhead line installation, which surely detects an abnormal portion occurring in the railway overhead line installation.;SOLUTION: The condition monitoring system includes a preceding train mounting a camera 3 for photographing the railway overhead line installation, and data of the railway overhead line installation during a normal operation; a following train mounting the data of the railway overhead line installation during the normal operation; a data processing section 14 capturing an image photographed by the camera of the preceding train, and processing the image; a data storage section 15 for storing data after the image processing; and a radio transmitter receiver 18 which determines whether to perform a detailed inspection of an abnormal condition detected portion in the railway overhead line installation in which abnormal condition presence/absence is detected, by comparing the data subjected to the image processing with the data of the railway overhead line installation during the normal operation. When a more detailed inspection is determined necessary, the radio transmitter receiver sends the following train an inspection command of the detailed inspection of the abnormal condition detected portion in the railway overhead line installation. Based on the inspection command, the detailed inspection of the abnormal condition detected portion is carried out in the following train, thereby identifying the abnormal condition occurring portion in the railway overhead line installation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
