PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which achieves substantial reduction in a time required for the drainage of a reactor well and a drier separator pool while maintaining the cooling of a spent fuel pool (SFP). PSOLUTION: A discharge system 100 for pool water in a reactor has a reactor well drainage line 102a for draining water in a reactor well 102, a drier separator pool DSP drainage line 106a for draining the water in a drier separator pool 106, a confluence line 116 where the line meets the line, a fuel pool cooling and clean-up system 110 and a bifurcation line 128 which is branched from the confluence line 116 at this side of a position where the bifurcation line is connected to the fuel pool cooling and clean-up system 110 and connected to an SFP cooling mode line 112d of a residual heat removal system 112 and drains the water in the reactor well 102 and the DSP 106 from the confluence line 116 to a suppression pool 114 by the SFP cooling mode line 112d.
