PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle failure warning device for easily understandably transmitting the content of a vehicle failure and a coping method of the failure to an occupant.;SOLUTION: The vehicle failure warning device 1 is mounted to a vehicle having an in-vehicle network NW connected with a plurality of kinds of electronic control units, and includes: a network I/F part 10 connected to the in-vehicle network NW and receiving a vehicle state signal and a vehicle abnormal signal outputted by the respective electronic control units via the in-vehicle network NW; a failure notifying method determining part 15 for determining the failure content of the vehicle and a failure coping method by using a failure coping database associated with information which indicates the failure content and the failure coping method, the vehicle state signal, the vehicle abnormal signal and a failure coping database accepted by a data accepting part with each combination of the vehicle state signal and the vehicle abnormal signal; and a voice output part 20 for converting the determined vehicle failure content and the failure coping method into voice data and outputting the voice data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
