PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float bath for producing glass plates to which barrier members installed in a molten metal to maintain a temperature gradient condition inside the float bath can be stably and easily installed all over the width direction of the float bath, and the structure of which is improved so as to easily repair or exchange the barrier without disassembling a side block from a bottom block, and to provide a method for carrying out the barrier formation to the float bath.;SOLUTION: There are provided a slot 112 formed in the bottom block 110 of the float bath, the barrier members 120 capable of being inserted into the slot 112, a receiving part 132 formed in at least one side block 130 contacting to the bottom block 110 so as to communicate with the slot 112, and a setting member 140 set in the receiving part 132 and connectable to one end of the barrier members 120.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
