PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resol type alkylphenol-formaldehyde co-condensation resin which is used as a resin cross-linking agent so that the heat resistance and cross-linking properties of the rubber can be improved, and to provide a rubber composition obtained by using the resol type alkylphenol-formaldehyde co-condensation resin.;SOLUTION: The resol type alkylphenol-formaldehyde co-condensation resin is discovered, in which the content of a component of a specific molecular weight range is controlled within a certain range and the ratio of two kinds of linking groups, each of which links aromatic rings to each other, is also controlled within a certain range. When such the resol type alkylphenol-formaldehyde co-condensation resin is used as the resin cross-linking agent, the heat resistance and cross-linking properties of the rubber can be improved. When such the resol type alkylphenol-formaldehyde co-condensation resin is used in the rubber composition, the rubber excellent in heat resistance and cross-linking properties can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
