PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-in-oil type emulsion having water drops dispersed in the oil by using a super hydrophobic powder as a solid surfactant, and to provide a method for producing the emulsion.;SOLUTION: The water-in-oil type emulsion is obtained by dispersing the water drops of an aqueous solution (X) surrounded by shells comprising the super hydrophobic powder consisting essentially of silica in a medium (Y) incompatible with the water. The super hydrophobic powder is the one containing the assembly of organic-inorganic composite nanofibers (I) wherein the nanofibers (I) is obtained by covering the filament of a polymer (A) having a linear polyethyleneimine skeleton (a) with silica (B) to which a hydrophobic group is bonded, or the assembly of nanofibers (II) obtained by firing the organic-inorganic nanofibers (I) to remove the organic components and containing the silica (B) as a main constituent component, and the hydrophobic group is bonded to the silica (B).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
