HIGH REFLECTIVE WHITE TILE AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tile which is used as a flooring material and a wall material of a building, being capable of assisting in scattering of a room light and maintaining or increasing illumination intensity by a smaller number of illuminations, and its production method.;SOLUTION: A high reflective white tile has, at least in a one side surface, a tile base with a crystal of corundum (α-Al₂O₃) in which the content of iron oxide is 0.5 wt.% or less and the ratio of a molecular composition of SiO₂/Al₂O₃ is 0.5 to 5.5. And the production method of the high reflective white tile is characterized in that (i) tile raw material and aluminum oxide are mixed, in this case the tile raw material and aluminum oxide are selectively compounded so that the content of the iron oxide after calcination is 0.5 wt.% or less, and the ratio of a molecular composition of SiO₂/Al₂O₃ is 0.5 to 5.5, (ii) the obtained mixture is molded, subsequently (iii) the molded body is calcinated, and in X-ray diffraction, a sintered body is obtained in which a peak mainly consisting of corundum (α-Al₂O₃) is acquired.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
