HIRAGANA INPUT DEVICE, HIRAGANA INPUT PROGRAM AND HIRAGANA INPUT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve demerits of conventional direct input and selective input systems.SOLUTION: When a first operation done by a user is detected by a touch screen, it is determined to which one of input patterns including straight lines 1-12 and a point 1 the first operation corresponds to (step S7). Also, when a second operation is detected, it is determined which one of the input patterns including the straight lines 1-12 and the point 1, the second operation corresponds to (step S9). A Hiragana (a Japanese syllabary) character corresponding to a combination of these two kinds of input patterns is searched for in a Hiragana recognition table and recognized (step S10). When a single Hiragana character is recognized, the Hiragana character is determined (step S15). When plural Hiragana characters are recognized, the Hiragana characters are displayed (step S13) and the Hiragana character selected from them is determined (step S15).
