PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high extraction ratio in a short period of time by single contact with an extraction agent without regulating pH in a method where an electroless nickel plating waste liquid is made in contacted with the extraction agent so as to extract nickel ions, and a peeling agent is charged thereto so as to isolate and recover nickel. PSOLUTION: As the extraction agent, a mixture of di-2-ethyl hexyl phosphoric acid and nicotinic acid dodecyl or a mixture of di-2-ethyl hexyl phosphoric acid and isonicotinic acid dodecyl is used. According to this method, a high extraction rate of 98 to 99% can be obtained by single contact without regulating its pH.
