PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a track height adjusting system and a track height adjusting method, which use the system adjusting the height of a track in the travelable state of vehicles.;SOLUTION: The track height adjusting system 1 includes: a plurality of cross beams 6; a pair of main girders 7 for supporting the cross beams 6; a plurality of expansion devices 8 for displacing the main girders 7 up and down; and a display device 10 for displaying the expanding situation of the expansion devices 8. When a track 2 is lower than a predetermined height, the expansion devices 8 are elongated to raise the track 2. At this time, the expansion devices 8 are elongated so that the track 2 gains the predetermined height, while confirming the elongated length of the expansion device 8 on the display device 10. When the track 2 is higher than the predetermined height, the expansion devices 8 are contracted to lower the track 2.
