PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pad type thrust bearing including a lift pump for reducing a starting torque while having a structure capable of easily preventing leakage of lubricating liquid, and a submerged motor and a vertical submerged motor pump using the pad type thrust bearing. PSOLUTION: In the pad type thrust bearing including the lift pump 12 for pressure-supplying lubricating liquid to the surface of a bearing pad 4, am impeller 12a of the lift pump 12 is provided within a bearing housing 10 of the thrust bearing.
