PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle for an outdoor unit capable of suppressing decline in heat exchange efficiency and having excellent work efficiency during carriage, the outdoor unit for an air conditioner including the handle, and a method of carrying the outdoor unit.;SOLUTION: A fitting part 33 of the handle 31 for the outdoor unit can be fitted to each suction port 27, includes opposing parts 33a-33d opposing to the peripheral edge of the suction port 27 to which the fitting part 33 is fitted, and restricts upward, lateral and downward relative displacement with respect to the suction port 27 to which the fitting part 33 is fitted. A grip part 37 includes a projection 45 protruded to the front side from a flange 35 and a recess 47 recessed to the back side from the flange 35, and can be gripped by a worker. A lock part 32 can be bent and deformed to enable engagement with the peripheral part of each suction port 27. The depth of a portion 47d on the other side in the width direction W of the recess 47 is set larger than that of a portion 47c on one side in the width direction W, and the depth of the recess 47 is increased from the portion 47c on one side to the portion 47d on the other side to follow a bent shape of a bent portion of a heat exchanger 66.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
