The authentication device 30 for the living body communication includes: an electric lock 38 for communication disposed so as to be close to the living body; a transmission circuit 53 for transmitting activation signals through an electrode 36 for communication; a reception circuit 55 for receiving reception signals including an individual identification ID through the electrode 36 for communication; and an authentication control part 70 which is provided with a proximity state determination part 64 for determining the presence/absence of the proximity of the living body to the electrode 36 for communication on the basis of a reception signal level at the transmission timing of the activation signals intermittently transmitted through the reception circuit 55 and a collation part 42 for performing collation on the basis of the individual identification ID, and permits authentication when it is determined that the proximity of the living body is present and a collated result is proper.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
