PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass composition for a masking ink and a masking ink which can provide sufficient light absorbance and light shieldability even if the thickness of a masking layer is made thin.;SOLUTION: The glass composition essentially comprises, in mol% in terms of the following components, 18-55% SiO2, 1-30% ZnO, 1-30% B2O3, 0-10% Bi2O3, 8-25% Li2O, and at least one selected from Na2O and K2O; 0-10% CuO, 0-8% Al2O3, 0-3% ZrO2, and at least one selected from SnO2 and CeO2; and ≤1% Fe2O3 and 0.5% TiO2. The masking ink is prepared by mixing and dispersing a solid component composition containing a 40-80 mass% glass composition, a 20-40 mass% heat-resistant pigment and a 0-30 mass% refractory material in a vehicle, and is used for the formation of a masking layer 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
