PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for speedily measuring the characteristic impedance of ESD protection circuits by applying a discharge voltage to the ESD protection circuits and provide a configuration of an apparatus capable of implementing the method.;SOLUTION: In the basic configuration of the present invention, changes with the passage of time in a discharge voltage applied to an electrostatic discharge protection circuit and changes with the passage of time in a discharge current flowing through the protection circuit are measured.
