XENON LAMP LIGHTING CIRCUIT AND LIGHT SOURCE UNIT FOR SOLAR SIMULATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting circuit using a large-capacity capacitor as a power supply for supplying a current into a xenon lamp while suppressing and controlling the overshoot of the lamp when started.;SOLUTION: The lighting circuit for lighting the xenon lamp includes a charging circuit (200), and a current limiting circuit (300) for supplying into the xenon lamp a lamp current which is limited by receiving the charging voltage of the charging circuit. The current limiting circuit includes a switching circuit for limiting the lamp current with switching operation, a driver circuit for driving the switching circuit, a feedback circuit for operating the driver circuit to detect the lamp current and equalize a detected value to an input set value, and a CPU for controlling the input set value. The input set value includes a first set value for a lamp starting period, and a second set value for a stable lighting period following the starting period.
