PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare pharmaceutical compositions for treating antiviral treatment naive patient having chronic hepatitis C infection to eradicate detectable HCV-RNA. PSOLUTION: There are provided pharmaceutical compositions comprising ribavirin and a therapeutically effective amount of interferon , and a combination therapy using a therapeutically effective amount of ribavirin and a therapeutically effective amount of interferon for a time period of 20-50 weeks.
