PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power line communication security system for strengthening the security of household electric appliances and information apparatuses used for a power line communication system.;SOLUTION: A master unit terminal 1 and a slave unit terminal 2 are connected via a power line Lp, the master unit terminal 1 includes: an authentication key setting section 15 for setting an authentication key for authentication with the slave unit terminal 2; and a communication section 14 for transmitting the authentication key set by the authentication key setting section 15 to the slave unit terminal 2 via the power line Lp when detecting that the slave unit terminal 2 is connected to the power line Lp, and the slave unit terminal 2 includes: a terminal function section 20 with functions of the slave unit terminal 2; an authentication key storage section 25 for storing the authentication key for authentication with the master unit terminal 1; an authentication processing section 24 for discriminating the propriety of authentication by collating the authentication key from the master unit terminal 1 with the authentication key stored in the authentication key storage section 25; and a terminal control section 26 for placing a limit of supply of power onto the terminal function section 20 when a result of the authentication indicates NO.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
