AQUARIUM REAL-TIME PICTORIAL BOOK IMAGE DISPLAY SYSTEM AND METHOD

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, which allows, in observation of image of organisms in a water tank of an aquarium, a user to easily know the name of an organism he/she is viewing. PSOLUTION: The aquarium real-time pictorial book image display system includes an underwater HD camera 2 for imaging the inside of the water tank of the aquarium; a display unit 7 which displays image taken by the camera 2; and a control device 6 which controls image display by the image display unit 7 by processing the image taken by the camera 2. In the control device 6, when a real-time tank image taken by the camera 2 is acquired, an organism name acquisition unit 11 reads name information of an organism appearing in the real-time tank image from a database 10, and a pictorial book conversion unit 14 converts the real-time tank image into a real-time pictorial book image by composing the read name information to the real-time tank image in association with an organism area image.
