PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a tracking accuracy and to reduce a tracking loss by using electronic control for the direction of elevation, mixing and using electronic control and mechanical control for the direction of azimuth, and using a double beam satellite tracking scheme and an electronic azimuth sensing scheme for the elevation and the azimuth in an antenna system for satellite communication.;SOLUTION: The antenna system for satellite communication comprises: a plurality of array antennas; a plurality of reception active channel modules for performing a low noise amplification to a frequency of a received satellite signal and shifting the frequency to a desired phase; a reception active module for coupling received signals according to positions of antenna arrays and transmitting the coupled signals to a communication terminal; a first conversion means for receiving the signal from the communication terminal and up-converting the signal into a satellite frequency; a transmission active module for amplifying/dividing the received signals; a plurality of transmission active channel modules for controlling a phase of the received signals and transmitting the phase-controlled signals to the array antennas; and an a first control means for controlling the modules by using a satellite tracking signal received from the reception active module.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
