PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stress sensor for detecting a position with stress having occurred therein through visual recognition in cases where the stress causing a crack in a structure, etc. has occurred, a method of detecting stress using the same, and a method of constructing a stress detector.;SOLUTION: This stress sensor includes an optical fiber 2 with at least a part thereof mounted on a part 9 under detection so that stress arising in the part 9 is thereto transmitted while visible light is introduced thereinto, and irregularities 2a facilitating leakage of light owing to a microbending phenomenon are provided on the surface of a portion of the optical fiber 2 mounted on the part 9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
