PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outflowing sediment observation system and a device therefor capable of detecting the concentrations of soil in a river by automatically and continuously observing the soil actually flowing in the river for each of water depths of the river.;SOLUTION: This outflowing sediment observation system comprises intakes 3 placed in a plurality of positions different in water depth of a wing part 2S of a sand control dam 2 provided in the river 1, a plurality of conducting tubes 4 singly connected to the intakes 3, a sediment separator 5 provided on the downstream side of the conducting tubes 4 to separate river water discharged from the conducting tubes 4 into water and sediment, a sediment weight measuring instrument 6 for accumulating the sediment separated by the separator 5 and measuring the weight of the accumulated soil, a turbidity measuring instrument 7 for measuring the turbidity of the water separated by the separator, and a water volume measuring instrument 8 for measuring the volume of the water separated by the separator 5. By processing data on the measurement results of the respective measuring instruments, the amount of sediment conveyed corresponding to the water volume of the river is calculated and continuously recorded.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
