PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a system and a computer program product by which one executing operation common to both kernel mode processing and user mode processing about a hardware adaptor can be performed.;SOLUTION: By this method, in a given processing, calls to a common interface are mapped such that a kernel mode processing is executed by kernel mode and a user mode processing is executed by user mode, and the common operation can provide to the user mode processing direct access to the hardware adaptor such as transmitting and receiving of information to the hardware adaptor without converting into the kernel mode; this method can also provide the specification of a security parameter to the hardware adaptor to be executed and the kernel mode executing about the peculiar operations of the kernel mode processing such as opening or closing of communication through the hardware adaptor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
